Stardome Observatory and Planetarium is situated on the lower southern slopes of One Tree Hill (or Maungakiekie) - one of Auckland's volcanic cones and most prominent natural landmarks. Cornwall Park includes Maori archaeological sites, playgrounds, BBQ's, walking tracks, and a working farm.

If you are travelling by bus from the city: Bus routes 302, 304, 305 and 312 depart regularly from Queen Street, travel via Newmarket and stop outside the gates of One Tree Hill Domain.
If you are travelling by car from Newmarket: Follow Manukau Road south for approximately 5km until you see the signs for the Stardome and One Tree Hill Domain.
If you are travelling by car from the Southern Motorway: Take the Greenlane exit, travel west on Greenlane Road, turn left into Manukau Road (heading south) for approximately 2km until you see the signs for the Stardome and One Tree Hill Domain.
