Stars of the Pharaohs

 SUITS 8+ YEARS

 RUNNING TIME:
Approximately 1.5 hrs

Stars of the Pharaohs takes viewers on a visual trip to ancient Egypt to discover how science was used to tell the time, create workable calendars and to align huge buildings.

Before Blackberry handhelds ruled the office and CAD-software governed building design, the world’s technical solutions looked very different. Temples and tombs created in ancient Egypt make an elegant testimony to how well the science worked in planning these early buildings and structures.

The film draws on photographs and measurements to recreate what the temples once would have looked like – with rich inks and golds and amazing attention to detail. Panning over the detailing on the columns and walls of the majestic Temple of Hathor at Dendera, the film offers its audience a far more intricate look at the structure than even its creators would have enjoyed.
