Welcome to Stardome, the coolest little observatory this side of Neptune. Located in One Tree Hill Domain, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa. Sharing our love and mātauranga of all things space since 1967.

Stardome is reopening on Monday 19 June 2023.

PARKING

Free parking outside Stardome or on Haydn Ave.
90 minute parking available in other areas of One Tree Hill
Domain & Cornwall Park.
If visiting in the evening, please be aware that the lower
playground carpark (next to Manukau Road) is locked after 7pm.

ACCESSIBILITY

Stardome's entrance, planetarium, and toilets are wheelchair accessible.

The planetarium has space for three wheelchairs, please indicate at time
of booking.

The Zeiss telescope is not wheelchair accessible and has four steps
leading up to it.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Late entry to shows is not permitted after the planetarium doors have closed. The planetarium environment is not suitable for children under the age of three. Please ask a staff member or refer to the Stardome Show Guide for age recommendations for each show. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, in accordance with section 10B of the Summary Offences Act 1981. We accept no liability for any loss or damage to any car in the carpark. It is recommended that valuable items are hidden from view or removed from the vehicle. Please be aware that the lower carpark in front of the playground is operated by Auckland Council (not Stardome) and is locked at 7.00pm. The use of cellphones and recording devices is not permitted during shows in the planetarium.
