Matariki Night Sky

A Stardome produced show exploring the night sky, with a Matariki twist!

Recommended ages 6+

Matariki planetarium show

Sit back and take a fun, family-friendly tour of the stars and constellations visible in the night sky during June. Hear stories about how the stars are connected and get a close up look at the spectacular Matariki star cluster.

You’ll also see two of our favourite immersive planetarium animations; the Legend of Matariki from our popular Stories in the Sky show, and the Great Waka from Matariki Dawn.

Matariki Night Sky is perfect for younger families who would like to introduce their children to the wonders the night sky and Matariki or for anyone who has already seen Matariki Dawn and would like even more Matariki!

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for shows. Late entry into the planetarium is not possible once the show has started.
