Stars, stories, constellations and Matariki!
Join Lucy Lawless and John-Rhys Davies in a stellar adventure as they navigate through the night sky and delve into the myths and legends behind the constellations visible in the season of your visit. Not only will you be introduced to fantastic Greek and Māori characters, you will also learn what a constellation is, how they are used for astronomical purposes, where the names of planets come from and all about the solstices and equinoxes! Its the perfect show for both the young and the young-at-heart.
What’s different about this Matariki-flavoured version of the show? The live tour of the night sky will have a strong Matariki focus! You’ll see the stars-up close, learn their names and catch an extra clip of the ‘Great Waka’ story from our Matriki Dawn show.
